Paul “Stubby” L. Pridemore, Sr., 70, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born November 5, 1955, in Bedford, he was the son of John and Catherine (Grissom) Pridemore.
Paul worked for the City of Mitchell Street Department. He enjoyed going to the Mitchell Senior Citizens’ Center and working on cars and drag racing. He was of the Christian faith.
Surviving are his children, Ricky Pridemore of Bloomington and Billy (Jennifer) Pridemore of Mitchell; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Danny Jo Pridemore of Mitchell, John “Buddy” (Janet) Pridemore of Mitchell, Anita (Mark) Miller of Franklin, Becky (Marty) Dotts of Mitchell, Cathy (Chuck) Lewis of Bedford, David Pridemore of Orleans, Darlene Hunter of Texas, and Diane (Lonnie) Pruett of Campbellsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, adoptive parents, Earl and Linda Pridemore; son, Paul Pridemore, Jr.; siblings, Carl “Doug” Pridemore, Genie Pridemore, and Brian Pridemore; and brother-in-law, Michael Hunter, preceded him in death.
Cremation has been chosen.
