Bedford Redevelopment Commission to hold special meeting on John Williams Boulevard property

BEDFORD – The City of Bedford Redevelopment Commission has scheduled a special meeting for later this week to address ongoing real estate developments on the city’s west side.

The meeting is set for Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 12:20 p.m. The commission will gather at the City Concourse, located at 1402 H Street in Bedford.

According to the official notice, the primary purpose of the special session is to finalize details regarding a high-profile piece of local real estate. The commission is expected to:

  • Accept formal appraisals for the property located at the corner of John Williams Boulevard and X Street.
  • Approve an amendment to the existing Purchase Agreement for the aforementioned site.

The intersection of John Williams Blvd. and X Street has been a point of interest for redevelopment as the city continues to evaluate infrastructure and commercial growth along the busy corridor.

Special meetings are called when specific actions require commission approval outside of the regularly scheduled monthly sessions. As with all public meetings, residents are welcome to attend and observe the proceedings.
