Edna M. Williams, 93, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born August 30, 1932, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Frank and Irene (Courtney) Fergeson. She married Homer Williams on August 29, 1965, and he preceded her in death.
Edna was a member of Fayetteville Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department. She loved gardening, sewing, and solving word search puzzles.
She is survived by a daughter, Maxine (Scott) Hall of Bedford; three grandchildren, Jeremy (Brandi) Williams of Bedford, Erica Hall of Williams, and Jennifer; eight great- grandchildren, Tyler and Briley Moser, Hannah (Levi) Williams, Haleigh Williams, Hayden Williams, Clayton, Abby, and Kayson; three great-great-grandchildren, Lane, Cade, and Addie; four sisters, Evelyn, Sue, Jean, and Ida Mae.
She was preceded in death by her husband Homer, her parents, three stepchildren: Bobby, Merlin Dale, and Sandra K., a brother Jim, and two sisters Myrtle and Wilma.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6th, at Fayetteville Baptist Church, with Kenny Waldon officiating. Burial will follow in Pinkston Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at Fayetteville Baptist Church.
