BEDFORD – Bedford Police officers arrested 19-year-old Dale Hillenburg after an alleged sexual assault involving a minor that reportedly took place in mid-March.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Bedford Police Department, Hillenburg is accused of offenses including sexual misconduct with a minor and rape. The allegations stem from an incident reported on March 12, 2026.
Police were initially contacted by a parent who reported that her teenage daughter had been involved in a sexual encounter with an older individual after spending time with friends the previous evening. Officers responded to a residence in Bedford to gather information about the situation.
The affidavit indicates that multiple individuals were present before the incident and that alcohol consumption among juveniles may have occurred. Following the report, the minor was advised to undergo a medical examination.
The accused individual later contacted authorities separately, requesting a police escort due to concerns about possible retaliation connected to the same incident.
