Bloomington to honor local resilient spirits at National Cancer Survivors Day Celebration

BLOOMINGTON — A vibrant celebration of life and community resilience is coming to Switchyard Park this summer. On Sunday, June 7, 2026, from Noon to 2:00 p.m., the Cancer Support Community South Central Indiana will host a local observance of National Cancer Survivors Day at the Switchyard Park Pavilion. The event is free to attend.

Powered by the Bloomington Health Foundation, this annual event serves as a dedicated space to honor and celebrate cancer survivors within the South Central Indiana community.

The celebration is designed as a family-friendly afternoon, offering survivors and their loved ones a chance to connect in a supportive environment. Attendees can look forward to a variety of complimentary offerings, including:

  • Dining: Lunch provided by One World Catering, plus refreshments and sweet treats.
  • Wellness & Fun: Mini-massage sessions, live music, and dedicated activities for children.
  • Support: Access to community cancer resource experts and various giveaways.
