CRAWFORDSVILLE – Franciscan Health Crawfordsville and Safe Kids Greater Lafayette, in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County Health Department, will be part of the Kickoff to Summer free community event on Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County.
The team from Franciscan Health will provide education about medication safety, water safety and fire safety. Bike helmet fittings will also be conducted.
A hands-on science station will provide an additional educational opportunity.
Stat Flight, a critical care air medical service based in Indiana, will have a helicopter on display for attendees to check out.
Face painting will also be available for children who attend the event.
The Kickoff to Summer will feature a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and a pickleball tournament.
The Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County is located at 1001 Whitlock Ave. in Crawfordsville.
