BNL boys win team title at Brownstown

BNL’s Orion Hill took third in the discus as the Stars won the boys title in the Brownstown Relays.

BROWNSTOWN – Bedford North Lawrence streamrolled to the team title in the Brownstown Relays during boys high school track action on Saturday.

The Stars totaled 82 points in the five-team field, followed by Brownstown (71) and Corydon (70). In the girls meet, BNL finished fifth with 14 points. Corydon won the team title with 86.

BNL’s Tripp Stahl was a double winner in the shot put (51-9) and discus (156-1).

Other victors for the Stars included Ben Conner (5-8 in the high jump), Luke Morris (15.78 in the 110 high hurdles), Weston Holtz (4:41.33 in the 1600), and the 400 shuttle relay team of Driven Axsom, Morris, Raiden Todd and Mason Heinzman (55.08).

In the girls meet, BNL’s top finisher was Madalyn Mason (second in the shot put at 29-11).

BNL will compete at Seymour on Tuesday.
