WASHINGTON — High-stakes showmanship and top-tier livestock are coming to Daviess County this weekend as the Interstate 69 Expo kicks off on Saturday, April 25.

The event, hosted by Daviess County Youth Livestock, Inc., is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. under the evaluation of Judge Caleb Boden from Illinois. The expo serves as a premier showcase for regional youth and livestock enthusiasts, offering significant prizes and a competitive platform for exhibitors.
Show Details & Registration
Exhibitors can participate in both breed-specific categories and showmanship competitions. For those still looking to enter, “Show Day” registration is available, though pre-registration is encouraged via the Showman.app.
- Entry Fees: $35 per head (Pre-registered) or $50 per head on the day of the show.
- Showmanship: $10 per exhibitor.
- Check-In: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
- Requirements: Out-of-state pigs must have valid health papers, and weights must be declared at the time of registration.
Prizes and Awards
The Interstate 69 Expo features a generous payout structure for top performers:
- Grand Champion: $750 plus a commemorative buckle.
- Reserve Champion: $500.
- 3rd through 5th Overall: Ranging from $350 to $150.
- Champion Showman: Custom buckles.
The fairgrounds will open for participants starting Friday at 8:00 p.m., with premium trailer parking available on-site. Attendees can enjoy food provided by the Surv’d BBQ & Grill food trailer.
Please note that no alcohol is permitted on the grounds, and the show committee’s decisions are final. The event is sanctioned under IJLA rules.
