BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence recorded wins over Bloomington North and Mooresville during Unified track action on Thursday.
The Stars finished with 120 points, clipping the Cougars (112) and Pioneers (104).
”We did very well for our first outing this year,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “Both Mooresville and Bloomington North are always tough teams. We are a young team this year and we have graduated most of our experience over the last two years, but everyone stepped up.
”In the shot put, all the guys threw well. In the long jump, all four jumpers jumped very well. Both Jaxon Donnell in the 100 and Josh Morales in the 400 stepped up as expected. Our girls relay did great in their first race, while the boys set the tone for the rest of the season with their relay.
“I am extremely proud of this team and am excited to see how they perform against the competition next weekend at our Invitational.”
BNL will host its Invitational on April 25.
