INDIANA — Graco Children’s Products Inc. has issued an urgent safety recall for a limited number of its recently introduced rotating infant car seats following reports of a structural defect. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warns that the infant seat carrier may detach from its base during a crash, significantly increasing the risk of injury to a child.

The recall, identified as NHTSA Recall ID 26C003, specifically impacts select SnugRide Turn & Slide models and Modes Nest Travel Systems that include the affected seat.
The recalled units were sold in the United States between January 2026 and March 2026 at major retailers, including Amazon, Target, Walmart, Babylist, and directly through GracoBaby.com.

Urgent Action Required for Parents
If you own one of the affected models, safety officials and the manufacturer urge you to take the following steps immediately:
- Stop Using the Base: Discontinue use of the rotating base immediately.
- Seat Belt Installation: You may continue to use the infant carrier seat without the base by following the “baseless” installation instructions (using the vehicle’s seat belt) provided in your original manual.
- Document the Label: Locate the white label on the car seat base. It contains the model number, date of manufacture, and a five-digit serial number.
- Register for a Replacement: Do not return the seat to the store. Instead, visit recalls.gracobaby.com to upload a photo of your product label and register for a free replacement seat.
Graco will provide a replacement child seat and base free of charge to all affected consumers. As part of the registration process, owners can choose from several replacement options, including the SnugRide SnugFit DLX or other rotating models like the Turn2Me.
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by the end of April 2026. For direct assistance, consumers can contact Graco customer service at 1-800-345-4109.
“We know parents rely on Graco products every day, and we understand this may create frustration for families,” the company said in a statement. “We are working quickly to provide a replacement product at no cost to ensure the continued safety of our youngest passengers.”
