BEDFORD — Judge Robert Cline and the Lawrence Superior Court II invite the community to celebrate a milestone of recovery and reform at the thirty-seventh Problem Solving Court Graduation Ceremony.
The ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. in the Lawrence Superior Court II courtroom, located in the lower level of the Courthouse Plaza.
The upcoming graduation honors seven individuals who have successfully navigated the intensive requirements of the program:
- Larry Jones
- Jacy Taylor
- Jennifer Willis
- Jason Kristan
- Matthew Reynolds
- Aaron Terrell
- Samuel Harrison
During their time in the program, these graduates have achieved significant life milestones, including establishing steady employment, furthering their education, and reclaiming their roles as responsible family members. By actively participating in recovery programs, they have demonstrated the hard work necessary to turn their lives around and serve as successful role models for others in the community.
The Lawrence Superior II Problem Solving Court currently supports 34 active participants. Unlike traditional courts, these specialty programs focus on the root causes of criminal behavior, such as substance abuse and mental health struggles.
The mission of the court is threefold:
- Provide Change: Assisting individuals in breaking the cycle of addiction.
- Promote Public Safety: Reducing future crimes by treating the underlying issues.
- Reclaim Lives: Helping participants become sober, productive members of the community.
“Problem-solving courts are not soft on crime—they are smart on justice,” Judge Robert Cline noted in a previous statement regarding the investment in these programs. “They are about accountability and opportunity.”
The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony to show support for the graduates and the program. For those unable to join the ceremony in person at the courthouse, a virtual option is available via Zoom.
