BEDFORD — Spring has arrived in southern Indiana, and with it the return of a local favorite as Hunter’s Greenhouse officially opened for the season on March 27.

The family-owned greenhouse, located at 10553 U.S. Highway 50 West in Bedford, welcomes customers each year with a wide selection of plants, flowers, and garden favorites. Operated by Don and Marilyn Hunter, the business has become a seasonal staple for area residents looking to refresh their homes and gardens.
Hunter’s Greenhouse offers a variety of products, including vegetable plants, numerous tomato varieties, strawberry plants, ferns, annual and perennial flowers, and hanging baskets. The greenhouse is known for its colorful displays and homegrown offerings that appeal to both experienced gardeners and first-time visitors.

“We have all the perennials and annuals you can think of, and about 25 different types of tomatoes,” said Marilyn Hunter.
The greenhouse itself spans approximately 34 by 100 feet and is filled with a diverse assortment of greenery each spring season. In addition to flowers, customers can find produce plants such as strawberries and other garden-ready selections.

Hunter’s Greenhouse is typically open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
With the season now underway, the Hunters once again invite the community to visit, browse, and bring home a touch of spring.
