Indiana Music History Project receives generous grant from Efroymson Family Fund

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Music History Project has received a generous operating grant from the Efroymson Family Fund, a major supporter of arts, culture, and community initiatives in and around Indianapolis.

This grant will help fund the Indiana Music History Project’s day-to-day operations at a time when such support is increasingly vital. As the IMHP has expanded its programming in recent years, operating funds have become essential to sustaining its work documenting, preserving, and promoting Indiana’s rich and diverse music history across all genres and time periods.

“We are extremely grateful to the Efroymson Family Fund for this support,” said Indiana Music History Project Executive Director Rick Wilkerson. “As our programming continues to grow, so do the costs associated with preserving and sharing Indiana’s music history. Operating support like this allows us to continue our work statewide and ensures that these important stories are not lost.”

The Efroymson Family Fund is part of the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) and has been a significant force in supporting nonprofit initiatives for nearly thirty years. To date, the Efroymson Family Fund has awarded more than $146 million in grants, supporting a wide range of efforts in arts, culture, education, and community development.

The Indiana Music History Project extends its sincere appreciation to the Efroymson Family Fund for its commitment to strengthening arts and culture throughout Indiana.
