Secretary of State Diego Morales announces launch of enhanced system for Hoosier military and overseas voters

INDIANA – In collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense, Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales announces the launch of a new program making it easier for Indiana’s military and overseas citizens to participate in elections.

A highly secure, comprehensive web application has been established for eligible overseas and military voters to streamline registering to vote, applying to vote absentee, receiving, returning, and tracking ballots, and communicating with county elections offices. The program complies with the federal Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for accessibility for print disabled absentee.

Eligible military, overseas, and voters with print disabilities can learn more and access resources by visiting indianawantsyou.com, a centralized hub connecting Hoosiers to important voting tools and information.

The new system provides a secure, accessible, convenient, and compliant electronic ballot delivery for military and overseas voters under UOCAVA, as well as voters with print disabilities, while maintaining the security and integrity of Indiana’s election process. The system also provides a secure, efficient platform for local election offices to administer absentee voting for qualified military, overseas, and print disabled voters.

“Our Hoosier heroes are the servicemen and women who defend our rights every day, often far from home. This new system ensures that no matter where they are stationed around the world, Indiana’s military voters can vote securely and confidently access their ballot. Supporting our troops means protecting their right to vote, and this strengthens both accessibility and election security for those who serve. Hoosiers should remind military and overseas family members and friends that Indiana wants them to continue to participate in our elections,” said Diego Morales, Indiana Secretary of State.

Eligible voters will be directed to a new state-hosted website featuring clear, user-friendly tools to securely request, access, mark, return, and track their official ballots. Voters are also encouraged to visit Indianavoters.com/ for additional information.
