BEDFORD – A 10-week parenting course aimed at addressing destructive adolescent behavior will begin April 7 in Bedford.
The program, titled “Changing Destructive Adolescent Behavior,” is offered through The Parent Project and is designed to equip parents with tools to improve communication, reduce conflict, and address serious behavioral concerns in teens.

Organizers say the course will focus on helping parents avoid arguments with their children, prevent or intervene in alcohol and drug use, improve school attendance and academic performance, and develop practical solutions for media-related issues.
The series will meet each Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., beginning April 7 and concluding June 9. Classes will be held at the StoneGate Arts and Education Center, 931 15th St., Bedford.
The cost for the full 10-week class is $30. Registration is required.
Parents who are unsure whether the program is right for them may attend the first class free of charge.
To register or obtain more information, contact Katie Messmann at 812-275-5754 or scan the QR code on the included flyer.
The Parent Project describes the course as an opportunity to empower parents while helping transform teens through structured guidance and support.
