INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana State Library Lunch and Learn Series 2026 is presenting The Business of Archives: Account Books in the Indiana State Library. The event is presented by Victoria Duncan, Rare Books and Manuscripts.

Some of the oldest manuscripts we have in the Indiana State Library are accounting books for regional business and trade, such as the Hyacinth Lasselle family collection. This talk will introduce these collections, housed in the Rare Books and Manuscripts Division, while providing tips on how to navigate pre-20th century accounting.
This is a hybrid event in the Indiana State Library, History Reference Room, March 10, 2026, 12 p.m.-1 p.m.
