Constellation Stage & Screen presents the Indiana premiere of the Da Vinci Code

BLOOMINGTON –This spring, Constellation is bringing Dan Brown’s international best-seller to life on stage. Don’t miss the Indiana premiere of The Da Vinci Code, directed by Chad Rabinovitz, playing March 26 – April 12 at the Waldron Auditorium.

When the curator of the Louvre is found murdered under mysterious circumstances, symbologist Robert Langdon and cryptologist Sophie Neveu are thrust into an investigation that quickly unravels into a deadly conspiracy. As they follow a trail of cryptic puzzles and ancient codes, they discover a secret that could change the course of history. Packed with pulse-pounding suspense and stunning visuals, The Da Vinci Code is an exhilarating journey into the unknown.

Constellation’s production is one of the largest plays the company has done to date, featuring a cast of ten, most of whom are local to South-Central Indiana. Starring as symbologist Robert Langdon is Indianapolis-based Equity actor Eric Olson, who was previously featured in Constellation’s productions of The King’s Wife and Elf the Musical. Constellation is also excited to welcome back Valerie C. Kilmer, previously seen in Holmes & Watson and The Importance of Being Earnest, starring as Sophie Neveu. Also returning to Constellation are Julie Dixon (Wipeout) as Sister Sandrine/Marie, Bobby Ayala Perez (Maple and VineHolmes & WatsonThe Play That Goes Wrong) as Rémy, Steve Scott (The Wizard of OzDeathtrap) as Jacques Saunière, and David Sheehan (Holmes & WatsonThe Play That Goes Wrong) as Vernet. At the helm of the production is Constellation’s Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz, who is no stranger to mysteries and thrillers, having recently directed Séance: The Board AwakensMiseryThe Play That Goes Wrong, and Deathtrap for Constellation. This production will feature projections as a focal point of the design.

“Audiences can expect a gorgeous set brought to life with transformative projections, an original sound design composed specifically for this production, and movement that heightens the storytelling—creating a theatrical experience that feels as riveting as the world of the book and film and places the audience right inside the mystery,” says Director Chad Rabinovitz.

Bringing this concept to life are Scenic Designer Chris Rhoton, Projection Designer Claire Talbott, Lighting Designer Jennifer Fok, Costume Designer Guy Clark, Sound Designer Brandon Reed, Fight Choreographer Patrick Kelly, Choreographer Callie Rekas, Stage Manager Mitchell Ward, and Assistant Stage Manager Sevin Kacsir.
