BEDFORD — A Bedford Middle School student turned in a historic performance on the wrestling mat this past weekend. Scarlett Brinson, an 8th grader, secured a first-place finish at the Madam Mayhem wrestling tournament held in Spencer on Saturday.
Brinson’s path to the top of the podium was marked by incredible efficiency. According to stats provided by Coach Filler, Brinson finished the day with an undefeated record of 3-0. Even more impressive was the speed at which she dispatched her opponents, securing three pins in under a combined minute of wrestling.
Brinson’s Tournament Stats:
- Record: 3 Wins, 3 Pins.
- Pin Times: 19 seconds, 11 seconds, and 10 seconds.
- Total Mat Time: 40 seconds.
Coach Filler described the 8th grader’s performance as “simply amazing,” noting that she spent a total of only 40 seconds on the mat to earn her gold medal.
