FRENCH LICK – This weekend, members of the Lawrence County Republican Party were proud to participate in the Biennial Indiana GOP Congress of Counties in French Lick.

Vice Chairwoman Connie Koch, Secretary Henry Shetler, and Chairman Chase Cummings spent the weekend learning, networking, and preparing for the important work ahead as they continue building a stronger Republican Party in Lawrence County.

Throughout the conference, they attended trainings and sessions on:

- Trials, Tribulations & Best Practices (featuring Amanda Lowery, Beth Boyce, and Holly Lawson)
- IN GOP State Party Rules
- How to Build Grassroots Teams

- Model County 2026
- Direct Mail
- What’s on the Horizon Inside the General Assembly

Friday evening included a reception with U.S. Senator Jim Banks and Todd Young, followed by Hospitality Suites hosted by statewide elected officials.

Saturday morning began with a Breakfast Rally featuring Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith, Treasurer Daniel Elliott, Secretary of State Diego Morales, Comptroller Elise Nieshalla, and Attorney General Todd Rokita. Lawrence County officers also attended the 9th Congressional District Breakfast with Chairwoman Amanda Lowery and fellow county party leaders from across the district.
The weekend concluded with a reception featuring Congressman Mark Messmer.
“This weekend was a great opportunity to connect with Republican leaders from across Indiana, sharpen our skills, and bring valuable knowledge back home to Lawrence County,” said Chairman Cummings. “As Attorney General Rokita emphasized, we can never become too comfortable. Staying concerned keeps us motivated and drives us to fight for conservative values every single day.”
