Purdue Extension to host Family Dinner Project at Orleans Library on Feb. 19

ORLEANS – Families in Orange County are invited to gather around the table for a healthy meal and meaningful conversation during an upcoming community event at the Orleans Library.

Purdue Extension–Orange County is hosting a Family Dinner Project from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Orleans Library, 174 N. Maple St., Orleans. The program will feature a healthy crockpot meal and highlight the benefits of sharing meals together as a family.

Organizers say the event is designed to encourage families to reconnect at the dinner table while learning how shared meals can support emotional well-being, brain development, and overall health for both children and adults.

The Family Dinner Project is part of Purdue Extension’s ongoing efforts to provide practical education and resources that strengthen families and promote healthy lifestyles in the community. Participants will not only enjoy a nutritious meal but also gain ideas they can take home to make family dinners a regular and meaningful tradition.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by calling 812-723-7107.

Purdue University is an equal opportunity and equal access institution. Individuals who need accommodations, an interpreter, or a translator to attend the program are encouraged to contact the Purdue Extension office at 812-723-7107 or email vportill@purdue.edu prior to the event.
