Serving Hope fundrasing event for Hope Resource Center at Mundell Christian Church postponed to Feb. 6 due to weather

MITCHELL — A winter storm has forced the postponement of the Serving Hope fundraiser scheduled for Friday, Jan. 30, at Mundell Christian Church, with organizers rescheduling the event for Thursday, Feb. 6.

Serving Hope is an annual community fundraiser benefiting the Hope Resource Center and is one of the nonprofit’s largest sources of support. The multi-day effort brings together local churches, restaurants, and volunteers who donate their time by serving meals, with tips and proceeds going directly to the center’s programs for local families.

According to organizers, the Jan. 30 event at Mundell Christian Church is part of a broader Serving Hope campaign taking place at several locations throughout the community. Last year’s fundraiser generated nearly $22,000, and organizers have set a goal of raising $25,000 this year to support Hope Resource Center services, which include assistance for individuals and families facing unplanned pregnancies and related needs.

Promotional materials shared by organizers highlighted the postponement, encouraged supporters to “stay safe and warm,” and confirmed the new date of Feb. 6 for the Mundell church event.

Organizers said all other details for the rescheduled fundraiser remain unchanged and encouraged community members to attend on the new date to continue supporting Hope Resource Center and its mission.
