Seymour Parks and Recreation seeks public input for new five-year Master Plan

SEYMOUR – Seymour Parks and Recreation is asking residents to help shape the future of local parks and recreation by participating in a public survey as the department begins work on a new five-year Parks Master Plan.

The master plan will guide priorities, improvements, and investments for Seymour’s parks and recreation facilities over the next five years. Officials say community feedback is a critical part of the process, helping ensure future projects reflect the needs and interests of residents of all ages.

In addition to guiding local decision-making, survey participation will also help the department remain eligible for certain state and federal grant opportunities, which often require documented public input as part of the planning process.

Residents are encouraged not only to complete the survey themselves, but also to share the link with family members, friends, coworkers, and neighbors to help gather as many responses as possible.
