RSVP deadline approaches for Lawrence County Cattlemen’s Association Annual Meeting

MITCHELL — Local cattle producers and community members have until this Friday, January 30, to secure their spot for one of the county’s premier agricultural gatherings.

The Lawrence County Cattlemen’s Association (LCCA) will host its Annual Meeting on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mitchell. The evening, which kicks off at 6:00 p.m., is designed to blend essential industry business with community fellowship and entertainment.

Attendees can look forward to a full program including:

  • Dinner & Entertainment: A catered meal followed by live entertainment.
  • Prizes: Door prize drawings and gift card giveaways will be held for all new and renewing 2026 members who pay their dues.
  • Annual Business Meeting: The evening will conclude with the association’s official business, including the election of the 2026 Board of Directors.

The LCCA is currently seeking individuals interested in serving as directors. If you wish to nominate yourself or someone else, please contact the Lawrence County Extension Office or Buddy Scherschel at 812-277-6966.

Membership dues are set at $10.00, providing local producers with access to industry resources, LCCA programming, and scholarship support.
