President Donald Trump will attend College Football Playoff National Championship

MIAMI, FL. – The White House has confirmed that President Donald Trump will attend the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, January 19 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Fans attending the game should expect enhanced security measures and additional restrictions at and around Hard Rock Stadium due to a presidential visit.

Ticketed attendees are strongly encouraged to arrive significantly earlier than they would for a typical game. Enhanced security screening will be conducted by the Secret Service Uniformed Division prior to entry. Attendees should be aware that pre-entry screening checkpoints will be in place prior to being allowed on Hard Rock Stadium grounds by the College Football Playoff (CFP), and re-entry will not be allowed once your ticket has been scanned at the stadium security gates.

Ticketholders should expect to see an extended security perimeter with layers of ticket checkpoints as they approach the stadium on foot. Fans will be required to have their game ticket scanned upon entering the interior (orange) parking lots at Hard Rock Stadium.

Attendees are encouraged to minimize personal items and review the list of prohibited items prior to arrival. Certain items will not be permitted inside Hard Rock Stadium due to these enhanced security measures and College Football Playoff policies.

Traffic closures and temporary roadway restrictions will be implemented in areas surrounding Hard Rock Stadium in support of security operations and the arrival of the Presidential Motorcade. While specific times cannot be provided, attendees should plan to arrive several hours prior to the scheduled kickoff to account for traffic impacts, screening, and potential access restrictions. Planning ahead will increase the likelihood of entering the venue prior to roadway and ticket gate closures.

There are Binbox lockers located outside Hard Rock Stadium, but there are no storage areas available inside the venue for prohibited items. Attendees should plan accordingly.

Guests should also anticipate temporary delays when moving through publicly accessible areas inside and outside the stadium. Certain areas may briefly become restricted or paused before, during, or after the event to support security operations.
