OOLITIC — The Oolitic Town Council has released its official meeting schedule for the 2026 calendar year, along with a list of dates when Oolitic Town Hall will be closed in observance of holidays and election days.
Town Council meetings will be held monthly at Oolitic Town Hall, located at 109 Main Street, with meetings beginning at 6:30 p.m. Most meetings will take place on the last Monday of each month. One exception is the May meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, May 27, due to the Memorial Day holiday. All meetings are open to the public and are posted in accordance with Indiana state statute.
In addition to the meeting schedule, town officials also announced the official list of 2026 Town Hall closures. Oolitic Town Hall will be closed on major federal holidays including New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The office will also be closed on Juneteenth, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Christmas Eve, the day after Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. Town Hall will close on Primary Election Day and General Election Day only if an election ballot is present in Lawrence County.
