New Roles and Programming

Hasnie, who joined FOX News in 2019, will take on her new White House correspondent duties this week, adding her expertise to the network’s top reporting team.

In addition to her correspondent role, Hasnie will also launch her own signature program, anchoring a solo show on Saturday afternoons from 12 – 2 p.m. ET, starting January 10.

“Aishah’s knowledge of Washington makes her a perfect addition to our stellar White House team of correspondents, and we are confident she will excel in the anchor chair as well,” said Jay Wallace in a statement.

Hasnie previously served as a senior national correspondent and congressional correspondent, both based in Washington, D.C., and prior to that, she was a New York-based correspondent.

Washington Expertise and Noteworthy Interviews

A graduate of Indiana University, Hasnie has a distinguished track record of covering major historical moments and conducting news-making interviews.

Her work includes:

  • Coverage of the 2025 government shutdown.
  • Reporting on the marathon vote to elect Rep. Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House in 2023.
  • Interviews with prominent political figures, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Taiwanese Ambassador Alexander Yui, and then-presidential candidate Donald Trump.

“I am thrilled for the opportunity to deliver critical information to our viewers across the country in the anchor chair and honored to join our prestigious White House correspondent team,” Hasnie said.

An Indiana Star

Hasnie was born in Lahore, Pakistan, on October 4, 1984. Her uncle was a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy who sponsored her family to emigrate to the United States. She was raised in Bedford, Indiana, where she graduated in 2002 from Bedford North Lawrence High School. Before joining FOX News Media, she built a strong reputation in her home state of Indiana, serving as an anchor and investigative reporter at WXIN-TV (FOX affiliate) in Indianapolis. She was also an Emmy-nominated investigative reporter and substitute anchor at WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, where her enterprise reporting on voyeurism law inspired local legislation to close a loophole in the system.

In 2020, her impactful reporting on the pandemic, specifically how the crisis affected Muslim Americans during Ramadan, earned her recognition as a New York Woman of Impact by Variety. She has also been recognized by the Indiana Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists for her work.
