ORLEANS—The Orleans Chamber of Commerce has launched its annual fundraising campaign to help cover the costs of the town’s downtown Christmas decorations, which will feature a fresh look this holiday season in and around Historic Congress Square.

The Chamber is actively accepting donations to enhance the town’s holiday display, promising several new updates to the festive scene.
A Fresh Look for the Holiday Season
Downtown Orleans will sport a slightly different appearance this year thanks to several new additions and updates:
- New Lighted Decor: The town is investing in new lighted wreaths and lamp pole lighted décor to brighten the square.
- Dogwood Trees: Orleans’ trademark Dogwood trees in the town square will be decorated with festive red and white lights.
- Bandstand Enhancements: The historic 1926 bandstand, which houses the official town Christmas Tree, will receive additional lights and new updates to the tree itself. Both the bandstand and nearby shelters will be adorned with lighted garland and bows.
- Period Lights: The antique gas lamps around the bandstand will be dressed up, and the period-like lamp poles around the square will be trimmed and lit.
- New Signage: New lighted holiday signs will also be added near the square.
The Orleans Chamber is requesting donations of any size to support the “Light Up Orleans” effort. Donations can also be made in memory or in honor of a loved one. All donors to the 2025 effort will be recognized publicly in The Orleans Progress Examiner in the coming weeks.
Checks should be made payable to the Orleans Holiday Light Fund and can be mailed to: Orleans Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 9, Orleans, IN 47452-0009 or dropped off at Orleans Town Hall.
