BLOOMINGTON — Riverway Plumbing and Mechanical is a family-owned company providing plumbing and HVAC services to Bloomington and surrounding areas. Founded in 2009, the business has expanded from a single-person operation to a staff of about 30 employees. The company offers residential and commercial service and provides free estimates.
Owner Neil Patzner began the business after moving to Bloomington in 2009, during a time when jobs were scarce and hiring was slow. He secured a water heater installation contract at Lowe’s, and positive word of mouth from satisfied customers helped the company grow steadily over the years. Riverway’s current location at 5450 South Old State Road 37 was constructed in 2020. When asked what makes his business special, he has a simple sentiment: it’s “Plumbing done right.”
Riverway recently added trenchless sewer pipe repair to its service lineup. The method enables the repair or replacement of damaged sewer lines with minimal excavation, and Riverway is one of the few companies in southern Indiana to offer this service.
