Bloomington Farmers’ Market season closes Saturday; Moves to Switchyard Park for November

BLOOMINGTON — The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market is concluding its regular May-to-October season this Saturday, October 25th, with a day of final programming before transitioning to its winter location.

The Market expressed gratitude to the community for a “truly banner year,” noting that customer support for local farmers, food producers, and artisans made each Saturday come alive with a spirit of community.

Final Day Performances and Special Events

The last day of the regular season will feature two musical performances:

Ed Lockwood

Ed Lockwood, former lead guitarist with “Too Many Cooks,” will perform two sets on the Circular Stage at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

MCCS Elementary School Singers

The MCCSC Elementary School Singers, comprised of approximately 180 students from six combined schools, will perform at 10:30 a.m. on the front steps of City Hall.

Throughout the 2025 season, the Market offered a variety of engagement opportunities, including youth activities, visits from international guests, and special events celebrating regional produce like heirloom tomatoes and specialty mushrooms.

November Market Details

Market activities will continue into the winter with the November Market, which begins next Saturday, November 1st.

For the third consecutive year, the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market and the Bloomington Winter Farmers’ Market will co-host the event at the Switchyard Park Pavilion at 1601 South Rogers Street.

The November Market will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the following dates:

  • November 1st
  • November 8th
  • November 15th
  • November 22nd
