Purdue Extension to detail community impact at free November Lunch-n-Learn

BEDFORD — The Purdue Extension-Lawrence County office is inviting the public to a free Lunch-n-Learn event next month to highlight how its educational programs are benefiting residents of all ages.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, from noon to 1:15 p.m., at the Stonegate Arts and Education Center, 931 15th Street, in Bedford.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the Interim Assistant Director of Purdue Extension. The director will detail the critical role that Extension’s programs—rooted in education and preventive wellness—play in improving the lives and livelihoods of Lawrence County residents.

Additionally, a local community partner will discuss the innovative potential of the Lawrence County Extension to reduce future demand for their organization’s specific services.

Staff members from all of the local Extension program areas will be present to answer questions and lead discussions, including:

  • 4-H & Youth Development
  • Agriculture & Natural Resources
  • Health & Human Sciences
  • Nutrition Education

The event is described as an excellent chance for residents to learn precisely how the Extension operates and how its community partnerships multiply its impact across the county.

To ensure an accurate lunch count, RSVPs are required by October 29.
