Schneck Foundation to host seminars on MyTruAdvantage Medicare plans

SEYMOUR – The Schneck Foundation is offering a valuable resource for residents approaching or over the age of 65 with a seminar titled “What’s the Advantage.” The event is designed to help individuals navigate their healthcare choices, specifically focusing on the MyTruAdvantage Medicare Advantage plans.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the differences between Original Medicare and MyTruAdvantage Medicare Advantage plans.

MyTruAdvantage stands out as a provider-led plan, founded by local doctors and hospitals. This model is often associated with better outcomes; according to the American Journal of Managed Care, provider-led plans deliver higher-quality care and better overall member satisfaction.

The locally-focused MyTruAdvantage plans offer both HMO and PPO options. Key benefits to be discussed at the seminar include:

  • $0 member premium
  • $0 primary care provider copays
  • Low co-pay for specialist visits
  • Additional coverage for dental, vision, hearing, and fitness benefits

The seminars, presented by MyTruAdvantage, will be held in Classroom 300 at the Schneck Professional Building, located at 411 West Tipton Street, Seymour.

Two sessions are available for convenience:

  • Monday, October 28, at 9 a.m.
  • Tuesday, October 29, at 6 p.m.

A sales agent will be present at both seminars to answer specific plan questions. For more information or to inquire about the event, individuals are encouraged to call 833-213-6731.
