WASHINGTON — The Daviess County community is invited to usher in the holiday season by entering the annual Daviess County Christmas Parade, scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025.
This year’s parade theme is “An American Christmas.”
The parade will step off at 5:30 p.m. Line-up for the lighted parade will begin earlier at 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of NE 7th Street and Bedford Road.
Organizers will award both cash prizes and trophies to winning entries.
To get parade entry details or to submit an entry, participants should contact the Washington Mayor’s office.
Following the parade, the community celebration will move to the new Commons area at the corner of Main and 3rd Streets.
Santa Claus will be available to visit with children at the Commons area.
The annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony will take place at the Commons at 7:00 p.m.
