LOOGOOTEE — The City of Loogootee is gearing up for a community-wide Halloween celebration on Thursday, October 31, designed to create a fun, centralized evening for all residents.

The festivities are scheduled to coincide with city-wide Trick-or-Treat hours, running from 6 to 8 p.m.
The core of the celebration will be held around the city’s new pavilion, where families, businesses, and local groups are invited to participate. Organizers are inviting participants to decorate the area, set up tables, and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.
The event is actively seeking ideas for more activities, with organizers considering options such as a community chili cook-off and hayrides.
A costume contest is already planned as a centerpiece of the early evening’s fun.
Following the trick-or-treating, the celebration will continue with a community dance featuring Karson Burch of KB DJ & Entertainment. The dance is scheduled to run from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
City officials are encouraging anyone interested in participating, contributing ideas, or volunteering to reach out and help make the event a successful Halloween night for the community.
