MITCHELL — Carla Kacher was announced as the winner of the 2025 Persimmon Festival Half Pot drawing, the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce said this week.
Chamber President Toya Lamm and Treasurer Don Caudell presented Kacher with a check for $3,157.50.
The annual fundraiser, held in conjunction with the Persimmon Festival, helps support future festivals and ensure the event continues to grow and thrive. Proceeds from ticket sales go directly toward sustaining the community tradition.
Chamber officials thanked community members for purchasing tickets and supporting the drawing, which has become a key fundraiser for the festival.
The Persimmon Festival, held each September, is one of Southern Indiana’s signature events, celebrating local heritage and drawing visitors from across the region.
