Local talent on full display: Winners announced for 2025 Persimmon Festival Art Contest

MITCHELL — The Mitchell Persimmon Festival Art Contest winners have been announced, with artists recognized across five categories. The contest, a longtime highlight of the weeklong festival, drew submissions from area painters and photographers. The People’s Choice Award will be decided tonight by public vote.

The contest is staged at the American Legion Post in Mitchell and remained open for public viewing through the festival’s conclusion Saturday.
