Mazda CX-90 named America’s safest family vehicle of 2025

INDIANA – A new study by the law firm Ferrer Poirot Feller has identified the Mazda CX-90 as America’s safest family vehicle for 2025. The analysis, which evaluated 25 models, found that the CX-90 earned a perfect score for crash protection and received zero customer complaints, making it a top choice for safety-conscious parents.

The study ranked vehicles based on six key safety factors: crash protection, child seat compatibility, number of child seats accommodated, total passenger capacity, customer complaints, and affordability. The findings are especially relevant for parents, who spend up to 10 hours a week driving their children, often during high-traffic periods.

“One of the most overlooked factors in family car safety is how parents actually use the vehicle day to day,” says Joe Poirot from Ferrer Poirot Feller. “Simple things like making sure child seats are installed correctly and keeping up with regular maintenance can make just as much difference as the safety features built into the car. Families also need to think about long-term use: how easy it is to adjust seats as kids grow, whether the car has space for strollers or sports gear, and how comfortable it is for longer trips.”

He advises families to consider long-term use, including how a vehicle will accommodate a family’s evolving needs.
