INDIANA – The American Red Cross is urging the public to donate blood or platelets this fall to help maintain a stable blood supply. The organization is in particular need of donors with O-positive and B-negative blood types.
To encourage donations, anyone who donates blood, platelets, or plasma between September 22 and October 19, 2025, will receive a $10 Amazon.com gift card via email.
Donations are crucial for helping a wide range of patients, including car accident victims, people with sickle cell disease, and those undergoing cancer treatments. Donors can schedule an appointment by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS, or using the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
