BEDFORD — Downtown Bedford will fill with the smell of spaghetti and the sounds of live music later this month as the Men’s Warming Shelter of Bedford hosts its annual Spaghetti on the Square fundraiser.
The event is set for Saturday, Sept. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Harp Commons. Guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner with meatballs, salad, garlic bread, dessert, and drinks. The evening will also feature live entertainment, a silent auction, and community fellowship. Tickets are $10 per person or $25 for a family of four, with all proceeds going directly to support the shelter’s operations.

For the Men’s Warming Shelter, events like Spaghetti on the Square are more than just community gatherings — they’re vital lifelines. The organization is a cold-weather overnight shelter and year-round resource center for men experiencing homelessness. It provides basic needs like warm beds, hot meals, showers, and clean clothing, as well as support services, including medical care, addiction treatment, education, job training, and housing.
The goal is to help each client reach their full potential as an independent, self-supporting, and contributing citizen of the community. This work, as organizers point out, takes a great deal of people, prayer, and money.
