Paoli schedules fall cleanup week Oct. 20–24

PAOLI — With autumn colors spreading across southern Indiana, the Town of Paoli is preparing for its annual fall cleanup, set for Oct. 20–24. The curbside collection offers residents the opportunity to clear out unwanted items while enjoying one of the most scenic times of year in Orange County.

Pickup will take place on residents’ regular trash collection days and is limited to households within Paoli’s town limits that pay for town utilities. The effort helps residents tidy up their properties ahead of winter and keep neighborhoods looking their best during the holiday season.

Certain items will not be accepted, including tires, paint, hazardous chemicals, and other restricted materials. Officials are urging residents to set out acceptable items early on their scheduled day to ensure pickup.

Fall cleanup week has become a tradition for Paoli, a town known for its rolling hills, historic downtown, and postcard-perfect scenery as the leaves change. The cleanup provides not only a practical service, but also a chance for residents to prepare their homes and yards for the coming months while taking in the beauty of the season.

The event underscores the town’s commitment to community pride and maintaining the small-town charm that draws visitors each fall, whether for scenic drives, apple orchards, or the simple pleasure of walking Paoli’s beautiful downtown streets and enjoying the palette of autumn color.
