Bedford Police Department accepting applications for full-time officers

BEDFORD — The Bedford Police Department is seeking applicants for full-time police officer positions, offering a 2025 starting salary of $66,258.14 along with a competitive benefits package and advancement opportunities.

Benefits include up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus, medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a take-home car, incentive pay for specialized skills, reimbursement of gym memberships, longevity pay with uniform and equipment allowance, and participation in the INPRS pension plan. Officers also receive paid vacation, holidays, unlimited sick time, and off-duty employment opportunities.

Candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 40, hold at least a GED, and pass an aptitude test, physical agility test, medical and psychological examinations, and a criminal background investigation.
