Adilyn Fields crowned 78th Mitchell Persimmon Festival Queen

MITCHELL- The 78th Mitchell Persimmon Festival has its new queen! Adilyn Fields, daughter of Casey and Andy Fields, was crowned Queen of the Persimmon Festival. A senior at Mitchell High School, Adilyn will proudly represent the community throughout this year’s celebration.

Joining Queen Adilyn on the royal court are three Princesses:

  • Marissa Blais, a junior at Mitchell High School and daughter of Chasey and Justin Blais, was also selected by her fellow contestants as Miss Congeniality.
  • Avah Cooper, a junior at MHS and the daughter of Julia Hamilton.
  • Emily Brewer, a senior at MHS and the daughter of Lauren and Joshua Barrett.

The Persimmon Festival is honored to have these remarkable young women representing the festival and the Mitchell community. Festivalgoers can look forward to their official introduction on the Main Stage on Monday, September 22, at 6 p.m. At that time, Queen Adilyn will also assist with the crowning of the Mini Miss, Little Miss, and Junior Miss Persimmon Festival winners.

This year marks the 78th Mitchell Persimmon Festival, which will run from Saturday, September 20, through Saturday, September 27.

The crowning of the Persimmon Festival Queen remains one of the most treasured traditions of the annual celebration, highlighting the spirit, pride, and community that make Mitchell’s festival so special.
