SEYMOUR – Dr. Eric Fish, president and CEO of Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, has been appointed to the board of trustees for the American Hospital Association (AHA). He will immediately fill a vacant seat with a term that runs through the end of 2026.

The AHA is a non-profit association for healthcare provider organizations and individuals dedicated to improving community health. The organization has a membership of nearly 5,000 hospitals.
Dr. Fish currently serves on the AHA’s Regional Policy Board 5 and has held various leadership positions with the Indiana Hospital Association. In a statement, he expressed his honor in serving on the board and his eagerness to collaborate with the group “to help shape policies and strategies that support hospitals, health systems, and the communities we serve”.
With over 19 years of leadership experience at Schneck, Dr. Fish has served in a number of roles, including most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was promoted to his current position as CEO and president in September 2020. Schneck Medical Center has a network of 24 specialty practices, nearly 200 providers, and more than 1,200 team members.
