MITCHELL— Children can step into a world of magic and adventure at the Mitchell Community Public Library during the upcoming Princess and Superhero Meet and Greet on Saturday, Sept. 20.
The family-friendly program runs from 1 to 3 p.m. and invites children ages 12 and under to meet popular costumed characters, including princesses and superheroes, as part of the community’s Persimmon Festival Week kickoff.
The event, hosted in partnership with Royal Encounters, will feature opportunities for photos with characters, along with themed crafts such as making superhero masks and princess crowns.
The Persimmon Festival, a long-standing Mitchell tradition, begins the same weekend and continues throughout the week with parades, food booths, and community celebrations.
The meet-and-greet at the library is free and open to the public.
