MITCHELL— The Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa, Inc. of Mitchell will host its 58th Annual Candlelight Tour on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Spring Mill State Park. The event, which has been sponsored by the Mitchell chapter since 1967, serves as a popular kickoff for the week-long Persimmon Festival.

From 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the historic village will come alive as Tri Kappa members, their families, and park employees, all dressed in traditional attire, reenact pioneer life from the mid-1800s. The tour will feature pioneer crafts, demonstrations, and entertainment from various musical groups.

While the village tour is free, a park admission charge of $7 applies for in-state vehicles and $9 for out-of-state vehicles. According to Park Manager Mark Young, buses will shuttle visitors from the Lakeview Activity Center once the parking lots are full. Shuttles will also be available for guests with overnight accommodations from the campground and the Inn. Tri Kappa extended its thanks to several local organizations for providing grants that funded the buses.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight to the event. Concessions and food will be sold by Tri Kappa members in the Carriage House.

Kappa Kappa Kappa is a statewide sorority that supports numerous community and state charity, educational, and cultural projects.
