SHOALS — The Historic Shoals River District is set to host its inaugural Community Movie Night on Friday, September 12, at the Shoals Ballpark. The free, family-friendly event will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on the lawn.
Following a community vote on Facebook, the feature film will be the beloved baseball classic, The Sandlot. The movie, which tells the story of a group of young baseball players during the summer of 1962, was chosen by popular demand.
The event is open to all ages, and concessions will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the film under the stars.
