INDIANA— A partnership between Moontown Brewing Company and the Indiana Natural Resources Foundation (INRF) is helping to support Indiana’s state parks, one beer at a time. The “Pints for Parks” series, which began in 2020, has a dedicated following and continues to raise funds and awareness for the state’s natural beauty.

The series started with a juicy, hazy IPA representing McCormick’s Creek, Indiana’s first state park. The brewery is crafting a unique beer for each state park in the order they were established. Each brew features distinct artwork that highlights the property. The latest beer, “Shades,” is the 14th in the series and is currently available at Moontown’s locations.
A portion of the proceeds from each beer is donated to the INRF and used for projects at Indiana State Parks. The program has already completed a significant project at Turkey Run State Park, where a $2,500 donation was used to repair the steps at the popular Sunset Point.

and Head Brewer Cody Peczkowski.
According to Moontown Co-Owner Bobby Mattingly, the project at Turkey Run is his favorite part of the series so far. “We wanted to focus on a project that would serve the public,” said Chris Newcomb, the Turkey Run property manager.
Mattingly and Head Brewer Cody Peczkowski are excited to continue the series, stating that their goal is to help preserve Indiana’s “underrated” geography, flora, and fauna.
