BEDFORD— The Lawrence County 4-H Council will launch a new tradition this fall with its inaugural Emeralds & Clovers Gala, set for Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds Expo Hall.
This year’s theme, “Rodeo Nights,” will bring a western flair to the evening, featuring live music from 100 Proof Band, dinner catered by Holt’s Café, and a silent auction. A cash bar will be available, and guests are encouraged to dress in western attire, including boots, jeans, and rodeo-inspired outfits.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., with festivities wrapping up by 11 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance by Sept. 24, and sponsorship opportunities remain open for local businesses, organizations, and individuals.
Proceeds from the event will support 4-H youth programs, including scholarships, leadership development, educational trips, and awards.
Council members said they hope the gala will become a signature fundraiser that both celebrates the community and invests in the future of local 4-H youth.
