BEDFORD — SERVPRO of Bloomington and SERVPRO of Lawrence, Owen, Greene, and Martin Counties have announced the winners of their annual school supplies giveaway, with two local schools set to receive $500 each in supplies of their choice.
Linton-Stockton School Corporation earned the top spot after receiving the most nominations, while Shawswick Elementary School followed as the next-highest nominee.
Shawswick Elementary Principal Dustin George said the recognition carries special meaning for the school community.
“We’re incredibly honored to have been selected as the winner of SERVPRO of Bloomington’s school supplies initiative, especially knowing it included schools across several counties,” George said. “It means so much to have our community support behind us with the voting. This $500 will go a long way in supporting our students and teachers as we head into the new school year. We truly appreciate SERVPRO’s continued commitment to local schools and the positive impact they’re making, as I know this is something they’ve been doing for a few years now.”
SERVPRO officials said the initiative is part of their ongoing effort to give back to the communities they serve, to help students and teachers start the academic year equipped for success.
