Drool in the Pool returns to Mills Pool for dogs and their owners

BLOOMINGTON – Get ready to make a splash with your furry best friend as “Drool in the Pool” returns to Mills Pool on Wednesday, August 6, and Thursday, August 7.

This popular annual event invites dogs and their owners to enjoy an evening of water fun, tennis balls, chew toys, and even contests with prizes.

For the second consecutive year, a special VIP hour will be offered from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both Wednesday and Thursday. This exclusive session provides early access to the pool, a complimentary “wag bag,” and free digital photos captured by a professional underwater photographer. Admission for the VIP hour is $30 per dog and is strictly limited to the first 20 pups. Pre-registration is required to secure a spot.

General event admission will run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on both days. Daily admission is $5 per dog, with a maximum of one dog per person.

Organizers emphasize essential rules for all canine participants: all dogs must be spayed or neutered, well-behaved, and at least six months of age. Crucially, all dogs must have written proof of rabies vaccination from their veterinarian; a rabies tag alone will not be sufficient, and no exceptions will be made.

For a complete list of rules and to pre-register for the VIP hour, more information is available here.
