BLOOMINGTON– Mayor Kerry Thomson is scheduled to present a comprehensive overview of the City of Bloomington’s housing initiatives and its response to street homelessness at a press conference on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Bloomington City Hall, located at 401 North Morton Street.

The press conference will focus on a detailed account of accomplishments achieved to date in addressing housing challenges and homelessness within the city, as well as outlining remaining opportunities for future efforts.
Mayor Thomson will be joined by key city officials, including Housing & Neighborhood Development Director Anna Killion-Hanson and Planning & Transportation Director David Hittle, who will contribute to the discussion on these critical community issues.
While the event is open to members of the media, it will not be accessible to the general public. However, the press conference will be livestreamed on Community Access Television Services at catstv.net, ensuring broad public access to the information presented.
